"Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes" is an annual walk-a-thon held throughout the country in Fall. Funds raised from the events go to the American Diabetes Association for research, information, and advocacy.

San Jose is one of the California cities an event will be held. It will be on Sunday, September 27 at Confluence East of the Guadalupe River Park in downtown. Free parking at HP Pavilion (Shark Tank). Available routes are 1 mile, 5K, or 10K (walk or fun run). Enjoy a free lunch, music, goody bags, prize drawings, a kids’ play zone, and more! Also, you can learn about the benefits and ways to have a healthy lifestyle by visiting the health fair.

How much do I have to raise to participate?
There is no registration fee and no fundraising minimum. There is a minimum of $100 to receive an official event t-shirt.
